When you register for an event via our website, we collect:

By registering for an MYP event, you consent to receiving email marketing communications from Merseyside Young Professionals.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

How your information is stored

We use trusted third-party service providers to manage registrations and email communications, including:

  • Wix (website and registration forms)

  • Mailchimp (email marketing platform)

These providers act as data processors and only process your data in accordance with our instructions and applicable data protection laws.

Your personal data is stored securely and access is restricted to authorised MYP board members.

We do not sell your data or share attendee lists with sponsors or third parties.

International data transfers

Some of our service providers (including Mailchimp) may process data outside of the United Kingdom.

Where data is processed outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK data protection law.

How long we keep your data

We retain your personal data for up to two years in order to:

  • Maintain accurate mailing lists

  • Review event feedback

  • Improve future events
